STRABANE Rugby Football Club (RFC) has unveiled Karl Warner as new senior backs coach and club development manager.
It follows the appointment of Neville Magee as new senIor head coach.
"Again, we’re incredibly fortunate to have someone of Karl's calibre and experience join the team, a club spokesperson said.
"His coaching and playing background speak for themselves: England 7s international camp training with Olympians and Commonwealth athletes, was involved in the Ulster pathways U16 to U19 , BUCS Super Rugby National League Two caps (Performance Squad), BUCS 3 head coach, IRFU Level 3 coaching, performance coach development, Super Series IMS All Stars head coach and University Club Colours Award for contribution to Rugby Union.
"Karl has played with and against future Premiership players and some future internationals.
"He has coached throughout the years, coaching all age groups on a team basis and individually.
"Highly experienced in performance analysis and software, skills work, coaching plans, and structure, (he is) a great asset for Strabane RFC moving forward."
The spokesperson added: "We are building a strong development culture that will provide a solid foundation for the years to come, enhancing coaching capacity at our partner schools program, while also strengthening capacity within our existing team."
