Strabane youth seeking to make history

STRABANE Rugby Club's undefeated U14s play in their first-ever league cup winners final this Saturday at Meadowbank Sports Arena in Magherafelt.

They take on Virginia U14s in what promises to be a titanic struggle, kicking off at 2pm.

A club spokesperson said: "This is the showpiece event of club youth rugby in Ulster, and it is a massive achievement for the lads to get there.

"The club is now asking all supporters to come along and cheer on the team.

"Transport will be provided for anyone that needs a lift, and food will be served at Rainey RFC (many thanks) directly after the game."

Anyone who needs assistance with transport is asked to contact the club.

"The 14s deserve our very best efforts to support them. Please do your part to help them make history," the spokesperson said.
