Grace earns first overall in Championship race

LOCAL quad racer, Grace McClintock, showed guts and determination at the weekend coming away with first overall at the third round of the Ulster Quad and Sidecar Championship in Seaforde MX Park, Co Down.

The Sion Mills Integrated Primary School pupil led the whole way in the first two races.

However in the third race she got a bad start and was in second, and having got the lead again she had a big off which had her in last place.

Unbelievably she managed to get back on her quad and pushed hard and got up to third place and got fastest lap of the race.

Her parents, Uel and Heidi McClintock, who own the Yamaha Marine & Off-Road Shop in Sion Mills are "super proud" of the racer she has become.

Grace is looking forward to the next race at Tandragee MX Park in a few weeks' time.
