Clann Na nGael host fundraising Golf Classic

CLANN Na nGael hosted a successful Golf Classic at Newtownstewart Golf Club to raise funds for Aughabrack club.

Taking place on June 20, golfers of all abilities in teams of four took part in an enjoyable and competitive day, played in the classic four-ball format.

The event brought together club members, supporters and the wider community to raise vital funds to support Clann Na nGael's ongoing development both on and off the pitch.

Speaking after the event, a club spokesperson said: "On behalf of everyone at Clann Na nGael, we want to extend a huge thank you to all who made our Golf Classic at Newtownstewart Golf Club such a brilliant success.

"To our sponsors, big and small - your generous support is the backbone of events like these, and we are truly grateful for every donation, tee sign, and prize.

"To all the players and teams who took part, thank you for your support and spirit on the course. Some fantastic golf was played.

"To our club volunteers - from making goodie bags or catering at the barbecue station, selling raffle tickets and facilitating the registration desk, taking pictures of the day, to organising everything else throughout the day - your time and effort on the day didn’t go unnoticed and it takes it all to help make club events a success.

"A big thanks also to Newtownstewart Golf Club for the use of the course and for being so helpful and accommodating throughout. What a setting for a great day!

"To the caterers and bar staff, thank you for keeping everyone well fed and refreshed - top class service.
