THE eighth annual Tommy Falconer Memorial Golf Tournament at Strabane Golf Club was a massive success.

The event, which was organised by local man, Kieran O'Neill, took place on Sunday, May 25, in aid of Foyle Hospice.

Scores of golfers turned out on the day in what was a magnificent tribute to the much-loved Strabane man.

It's now been confirmed that the final total raised from the tournament was an amazing £3,800.

A Foyle Hospice spokesperson said: "A big thank you to Dixie's Bar, Strabane and the family of Tommy Falconer, who raised an amazing £3,800, proceeds from a golf competition in his memory.

"We are so grateful for their support which is making a difference to Foyle Hospice."

Thanks has been extended to everyone who supported the tournament in any way, including those who played and bought and sold raffle tickets, as well as the many businesses who sponsored the event.
