Lady captain Donna raises £4,000 for NICHS

NORTHERN Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke (NICHS) has extended a huge "thank you" to Strabane Golf Club’s lady captain, Donna Doherty, who recently presented the charity with a donation of £4,000.

The fantastic sum was raised through donations on Lady Captain’s Day, held on 11th June, as well as via a one-off charity golf day at the club which was sponsored by local businesses.

Club members, visitors, and friends played on the day and bought raffle tickets.

"Many thanks to everyone who took part in the events and those who donated so generously," a spokesperson for the charity said.
