PUPILS at Strabane Controlled Primary School have been getting creative and learning about history as part of a new school project.
Primary seven pupils have been hard at work in recent weeks on their latest topic and learning about the Great Famine in Ireland from 1845 to 1852.
As part of the project, pupils were set a project to build an Irish cottage at home.
Impressive creations were then brought into school and, as you can see from the photographs, pupils and families created some amazing pieces to an incredible standard.
The pieces were then judged across a number of categories.
A school spokesperson said: "Our Primary 7 class received certificates for the Irish cottages they made a few weeks ago.
"This project was part of their topic work, the Irish Famine.
"The work created for this project is always outstanding and extremely difficult to judge.
"Well done Primary 7!"
