Mayor hosts special reception for Tyrone Masters team

MAYOR of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Ruairí McHugh, has hosted a special reception in the Mayor’s Parlour to honour the Tyrone Masters team, celebrating their remarkable achievement of winning five All-Ireland Masters titles in-a-row.

The event brought together team members including Liam Patterson and Damien McDevitt, as well as team manager Joe Leonard and his wife Vera.

During the reception, Mayor McHugh made a special presentation to Leonard in recognition of his leadership and the team’s sustained success, with all moments captured by photographer Tom Heaney of nwpresspics.

Councillor McHugh said: “On behalf of our entire community, I want to congratulate the Tyrone Masters on an extraordinary five-in-a-row All-Ireland triumph.
