OWEN Roes is inviting all members, adult and youth players, parents, supporters and family and friends to come along this weekend from to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1975 team's achievement in reaching the Tyrone Senior County Final.
The celebration is taking place at the clubrooms in Glenmornan from 8pm.
The club reached the final after defeating the mighty Ardboe in the semi-final but unfortunately the north Tyrone sides were beaten by reigning champions Trillick in the final.
A club spokesperson said: "What makes it such a significant occasion is that this, so far, has been the club's only appearance at the highest level in club football in Tyrone and deserves to be marked.
"The 1975 team will be guests of honour and it's hoped there will be a big turnout of our current club people to show their appreciation.
"As well as our special guests from the 1975 team, club founding members Johnny Dooher, Hughie Kelly, Sean Kelly and Tony Kelly, will also be present on the night with Hughie also being team manager for the 1975 final.
"These people and our other founding members laid a solid base on which the current Owen Roes club now stands."
Journalist, Alan Rogers, who is steeped in GAA tradition and its history in Tyrone, will be MC for the night.
Everyone is welcome to come along and share in a night of memories, craic and music.
The night will end with music by the popular Doll McGinley.
