Mayor hosts reception for Tyrone All Ireland winners

MAYOR of Derry City and Strabane District Council, councillor Ruairí McHugh, hosted a special reception for the Tyrone Ladies Team who were crowned All-Ireland intermediate winners earlier this year.

The event was held in the Alley Theatre.

Congratulating the team, Mayor McHugh said: "I had the absolute pleasure of meeting with the Tyrone Ladies team in the Alley recently to present them with a special civic gift and honour their fantastic achievements this year.

"All Ireland champions is a sought after title and these ladies did us proud by bringing it home!

"On behalf of the entire community, I extend heartfelt congratulations to the Tyrone Ladies team on being crowned All-Ireland champions.

"Your passion, determination, and team spirit have made us all immensely proud.

"You've inspired a new generation - well done, ladies!"
