Owen Roes host annual awards night

THE Owen Roes annual awards night for adult players and volunteers took place on Saturday night in the clubrooms in Glenmornan.

A club spokesperson said: "A word of thanks to all those who gave up their time during the week and on Saturday to get things organised and to get the clubrooms looking so well for the event.

On the night, club chairperson, Paul Phillips, thanked all those involved and those who attended the first adult awards night in the clubrooms itself, said a few words on the 2024 season and then made the following awards:

Joint Ladies Minor Player of the Year: Aoibheann Mc Crossan and Aimee Ritchie

Packie Conwell Memorial Cup Minor Player of the Year: Callum Doherty

Reserve Player of the Year: Ronan Ward

Club Official of the Year: Ellen Mc Gonigle

Willie McCay Memorial Cup Clubperson of the Year: Taggy Mc Cay,

Ladies Senior Player of the Year: Sophie McGlynn

Joint Mens Senior Player of the Year: Gerard Devine and Gerard McShane

The spokesperson added: "Well done to all our awards winners on their well deserved recognition.

"A big thank you also to Robin McMullan of Motorparts Strabane on his generous sponsorship of the awards night."
