CHRISTOPHER Wallace has been appointed the new first team manager at Ardstraw Football Club.

He arrives at Vaughan's Holm following his notable success with Newbuildings United.

Wallace succeeds Raymond Clarke who departed the Fermanagh and Western Division Two side earlier this month.

Speaking of his appointment, the highly-motivated Wallace said: "I'm really excited to be the next manager of Ardstraw Football Club.

"I'm partuclarly impressed with the club's ambition and fantastic facilities.

"I'm ready to tackle this new challenge head on and propel the club forward."

Having managed and won multiple trophies at Intermediate level, a buoyant Wallace hopes to bring a fresh perspective to Ardstraw, with his own style and approach to the game.

He added: "I'm fully committed to injecting a professional approach and relentless work ethic - every session, every match, and every moment will see me giving my absolute all.

"My goal is clear - to achieve success and restore this club to its rightful place."

The club is proud to have secured the services of such a high calibre coach, who has a proven track record of delivering silverware.

"We see Christopher’s appointment as a clear signal of intent," a statement from the club said.

"Paul Fusco will remain in temporary charge for the remainder of this season, whilst Wallace familiarises himself with the club and prepares for his highly anticipated tenure as our new manager."
