STRABANE Athletic FC has announced Barry Hegarty as head coach of its ladies team.
Barry is already a huge asset to the club through his work as manager of the men’s Reserves and the club's growing youth girls teams.
Confirming his apointment, a club spokesperson said: "His commitment, passion and knowledge continue to shine through in everything he does.
"We’re excited for the journey ahead and look forward to seeing the continued development of our Ladies team under Barry’s guidance."
Strabane Athletic Ladies manager, Liam Lynch, added: "The appointment of Barry as lead coach is brilliant news for the ladies and the club.
"Barry, who is already a massive asset to both the youths and men’s teams, will no doubt be the perfect man to help me lead these talented ladies into the Chanpionship this season.
"Myself and the ladies are excited for the season ahead and now that Barry has joined the coaching team we can’t wait to see what he can add to the NIWFA (Northern Ireland Women's Football Association) platform.
"Welcome to the SAFC Ladies Barry, here’s to the new season.”
