Prizes presented at Sion Swifts Youth Awards evening

SION Swifts FC hosted its annual Youth Awards at the Fir Trees Hotel in an evening where the club celebrated the individual and collective successes of its young players and teams.

The evening also acknowledged the club's young members and families, who represent the badge with pride, ambition and loyalty demonstrating just what it means to be a member of the Sion Swifts family!

"Congratulations to all of our players for participating, representing and playing with heart every week on the pitch, this night was for you," a spokesperson said.

"Firstly a massive thank you to our growing committee who are driving Sion Swifts forward to lofty new ambitions solely for the betterment of their community and the young people within.

"An extra special thank you goes to committee members, Leanne and Mal speak, for their dedication and hard work in organising our awards evening year on year,.

"I think it is safe to say you have completely outdone yourselves once again this year.

"A huge thank you to both our team sponsors and sponsors for providing awards and trophies for the evening: Spar (Sion Mills), Ronan & Co, Joes Chippy, GT Roofing and Cladding, TMC Stoneworks, Mals Barbers and Devine Cars

"A special mention to Sion Swifts parents, who make the club what it is today. They are the most dedicated, supportive folks you could ever wish for at a football club making the job of both our coaches and committee positive and rewarding every single week.

"We'd also like to commend our fantastic coaches. We could see from the passion and sincerity with which you spoke about the young people in your care how selflessly devoted you are to your players and your club and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

"Huge congratulations to everyone currently involved in our football club.

"You can all give yourselves a pat on the back, you deserve it and you deserve to be part of the exciting future we have ahead of us."
