Dessie Goligher memorial match at Donemana FC

DONEMANA FC have confirmed details for this year's Dessie Goligher memorial match.

The match is played in memory of the much-loved club member.

Mr Goligher, who passed away in 2017, was a former manager and chairman of the north Tyrone club.

This year, the game will be played on Saturday, December 27 with a 12 noon kick-off.

Outlining this year's plans, a Donemana FC spokesperson said: "Dessie Day 2026...That time of the year where the Legends (Old Boys) dust of the boots for the yearly appearance

"This year we are changing it up a bit and have invited Foyle Wanderers to bring a Legends team for the Old Boys Derby.

“Dessie loved derby day as much as anyone and I'm sure it'll be a great day in memory of the great man.

"Both sides are currently looking for players."

Anyone interested in playing on the day is asked to message the Donemana FC Facebook page.

After the match there will be refreshments served and music in the nearby Donemana Cricket Club.
