Strabane Athletic Reserves awards night

STRABANE Athletic Reserves celebrated the end of a successful season during the club's awards night at the Fir Trees Hotel.

It was an historic season for the local club in which the seniors gained promotion to the Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) Premier Intermediate League for the first time in the club's history, whilst the Reserves also gained promotion to the North West Junior League (NWJL) Premier Division.

The award winners for the Reserves team were:

Player of the Year: Rory McDermott

Young Player of the Year: Thomas Doherty

Players Player of the Year: Lewis Quinn

Top Goalscorer: Jack Quinn

"Congratulations to all our players, management and everyone involved in making the season as special as it was," a club spokesperson said.

"Special mention to Dungannon Swifts legend, Joe McAree, who was in attendance, bringing with him the historic Irish Cup which Dungannon lifted earlier this year."
