FORMER Tyrone senior county footballer, Cathal McShane, has signed for Strabane Athletic.
The All-Ireland winning forward has joined Raymond Foy's side as they prepare for a new challenge in the Premier Intermediate League next season.
The 29-year-old opted out of the Red Hands' panel back in May ahead of the All-Ireland series.
The Owen Roes clubman made his final appearance for Malachy O'Rourke's side in their Ulster Championship opener against Cavan back in April.
He made his inter-county debut against Donegal in 2015 and during his time in red and white he picked up three Ulster SFC medals (2016, 2017 and 2021) alongside his All-Ireland SFC medal in 2021.
The forward won an All-Star for his performances in 2019, finishing as the All-Ireland SFC's top scorer, kicking 3-48 in nine games.
McShane has previously played for Athletic, and he is looking forward to the new challenge.
“Delighted to be signing with Strabane Athletic. A club I’ve played with in the past and always kept a close eye on," he said.
"(It) was brilliant to see the recent success, a real credit to everyone involved.
"From a personal note I’m really excited to get back playing and do whatever it takes to help drive the club forward and to reach the heights it’s capable of.”
