Teegan re-joins Wexford from Sion Swifts

FORMER Sion Swifts' midfielder Teegan Lynch has re-signed for Wexford Ladies Football Club, who compete in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division.

Currently studying Sports Coaching and Business Management at SETU Carlow, Teegan returns to the club for a second spell.

Confirming the news, a club spokesperson said: "Wexford FC Women are thrilled to announce the signing of Teegan Lynch for the new season!

"This will be Teegan’s second spell at Ferrycarrig Park. The talented attacking midfielder made 16 appearances for the club in 2021/22.

"Currently studying Sports Coaching and Business Management at SETU Carlow, Teegan was also part of our U17 LOI Academy coaching team last year."

The former Republic of Ireland U19 international re-joined her local club Sion Swifts last summer and played in the NIFL Women’s Premiership and the All-Island Cup.

The spokesperson added: "We are delighted to have Teegan back at Wexford for the upcoming SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division season which kicks off on March 9."

In the Women's Premier Division she will come up against former Swifts team-mate, Kelly Crompton, who recently signed for Sligo Rovers and Kerryanne Brown who will line out for Athlone Town.
