FOR many days leading up to Christmas 2025 the local Rotary Club again held their Tree of Remembrance that is now a national Rotary tradition all over Ireland.
Club members manned the Tree of Remembrance in Main Street, Strabane, where the local community could come together to write messages of dedication to loved ones present and past and have them placed on the tree.
These messages were presented for remembrance at a Prayer Service on Wednesday evening, February 4, which was held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception and was officiated by Fr Declan Boland.
Members of the community who wrote messages and placed them on the tree can now take comfort that prayers have been offered on their behalf.
The contributions offered by the public during the Tree of Remembrance project has enabled the Rotary Club of Strabane-Lifford to donate £600 to Marie Curie and another £600 shared with its own Rotary charity, Rotary Foundation, that supports humanitarian projects nationally and internationally and general community projects locally.
