DURING the three weeks leading up to Christmas 2025 the local Rotary Club once again organised their Tree of Remembrance which has become a national Rotary tradition all over Ireland.
Club members devoted their time to man their Tree of Remembrance at Main Street, Strabane, where the local community came together to write on pink ribbons messages of dedication in remembrance of loved ones.
Messages about family and friends who have passed away, who are terminally ill or living with anxiety and depression.
All the messages on the ribbons will be presented for remembrance at a Prayer Service which will be held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception during 7pm Mass for Saint Pio on Wednesday, February 4 and celebrated by Fr Michael McGaughey, parish priest.
Members of the local community who wrote messages are invited to attend and can take comfort that prayers will be offered for their intentions.
The donations made by the public at the Tree of Remembrance has raised £1,260 which will support the charitable works of Marie Curie and the Rotary Club of Strabane-Lifford.
