A CHARITY event in Donemana has raised a staggering £3,400.
The fundraising waxing night was held at the Woolpack Bar in the village.
It was organised by local man, Seamus Blee and his family.
The proceeds have been donated to the Intensive Care Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital in recognition of the care Seamus received during his time in the unit, and indeed the support shown to his family.
The Western Health and Social Care Trust extended its thanks to Seamus and his family for their geneorsity.
"A huge thank you to Seamus Blee and his family for their very generous donation of £3,400 to the Intensive Care Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry-Londonderry," the spokesperson said.
"Seamus and his family organised a charity waxing night in the Woolpack Bar in Donemana.
"Friends and family donated in recognition of the excellent care that Seamus received while a patient in the unit for several weeks and family members were supported by staff throughout this period."
