THE Western Health and Social Care Trust’s (Western Trust) Recovery College has this week launched their new Autumn/Winter 2025/26 prospectus which details the wide range of courses relating to mental health and wellbeing available this term.
The College are delighted to reach five areas of the Western Trust with their popular courses running in Derry/Londonderry, Limavady, Enniskillen, Omagh and Strabane.
Online courses which are pre-recorded and can be accessed at any time via mymentalhealthrecovery.com are also offered.
This offers a wide range of courses to support mental health and wellbeing which complement our face to face courses.
Introducing the start of the programme, Roisin O’Hanlon, Western Trust Recovery College coordinator said: “As the leaves begin to fall and we step into the quieter, reflective seasons of autumn and winter, I am delighted to welcome everyone to a brand new term of our free mental health and wellbeing education and learning programme at the Recovery College.
"Whether you are joining the College for the first time, returning from our previous term, or reconnecting after a break, we are so pleased to have you as part of our supportive community.”
Roisin continued: “For this term, we continue to build on the values at the heart of the Recovery College of hope, empowerment, connection and lifelong learning.
"Our Autumn/Winter prospectus offers a wide range of workshops, designed and delivered in partnership with those who have lived experience and those working in mental health services.
"Together, we create a safe and supportive space for shared learning, self-discovery and recovery.”
Roisin added: “We know that the colder months can be challenging, but they can bring opportunities for slowing down, reconnecting with ourselves and nurturing new growth.
"Whether you are looking to develop new skills, explore your mental health journey, or find a sense of community and belonging - there is a place for you here.
"We have a full timetable of courses and workshops throughout the Western Trust area.
"Courses are open to all - those who use services, people with mental health issues whether diagnosed or otherwise, carers and supporters, students, health professionals - in fact anyone who is interested in improving or maintaining good mental health.
"I hope you find a workshop that will support your journey and I look forward to welcoming you into our new term and walk alongside you through this season of change and possibility.”
The term commences week beginning September 15 and registration for the courses is essential.
