A SPECIAL exhibition celebrating the work of Micheal Ó Nualláin is on display at the Alley Theatre and will remain so until September 30.
Highlights include Brian at Work, a portrait of his brother and writer, Flann O’Brien, donated to the Derry City and Strabane Museum Services by Micheal’s wife, Ann Uí Nualláin.
The brothers, both born in Strabane, left rich cultural legacies - Flann through literature and Micheal through art and illustration.
Titled 'Lines of Inheritance: The Art of Micheál Ó Nualláin Art Exhibit and the Legacy of Flann O'Brien', featured works include A Pint of Plain is Your Only Man, Evolution, and illustrations from Cruiskeen Lawn.
This exhibition offers a unique tribute to two of Strabane’s most creative sons and is supported by Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies, University of Notre Dame.
