THE streets of Lifford will once again be filled with the sound of hundreds of runners as Strabane Triathlon Club host its third edition of their annual 5k race.
The club has announced the return of the race which will take place at 10.30am on Sunday, February 22.
The hugely popular race, which saw hundreds of runners take part in previous years, will offer participants an excellent opportunity to enjoy a local race at the beginning of the season, and record a fast time as they navigate their way around the same flat, fast course that hosted last year's race.

Registration can also be made on the morning of the race for €15.
A club spokesperson said: "We’re delighted to be hosting our 3rd annual 5K in Lifford and it’s shaping up to be bigger and better than ever! The course is flat and fast - ideal for anyone hunting a PB (personal best).
“Last year we had over 300 runners, and we’re expecting even more this time, so expect a great buzz on the day. Prizes up for grabs: €100 - first male, €100 - first female, €50 - new male course record (14:59) and €50 - new female course record (17:16).
