LIFFORD Strabane AC's MIllie Sandy and Cabrini Pyne were in action at the All- Ireland Indoor Multi Events Championships at the National Indoor Arena in Abbotstown.
This was the first indoor event of the season and both girls put in some excellent performances in their respective pentathlon competitions.
In the Under 16 pentathlon, Millie was in with a medal shout following three events, having won her shot put (10.69m) and a fast 60m hurdles (10.53s).
Millie secured an excellent eighth placed finish out of a large field of 25 athletes.
Millie's other performances included a 1.38m high jump, a 4.55m long jump and finished up with a 2.47.74 in the 800m.
Cabrini was competing in the youths pentathlon and also had an excellent top ten finish, placing seventh overall.
Like Millie, Cabrini was in the early hunt for medals having placed third in the 60m hurdles with a 9.33s run, and second in the shot put with 10.72m.
Cabrini posted a 1.41m high jump, a 4.66m long jump and completed the pentathlon with a 2.52.48 run in the 800m.
A club spokesperson said: "Well done to both girls on these early season performances."
