Strabane AC athletes smash personal bests

STRABANE AC athletes all showed brilliant performances across the board with personal bests (PBs) and great teamwork on display over this past two weeks with.

In action at the Marty's 5k in Derry were Orla Quinn; 25:32 PB, Nicole Gallagher; 23:27 PB, Ryan Whyte; 21:07 PB , Audrey Sweeney; 27:26 PB, Noelle Kelly; 28:05 and Stacey Kelly; 28:38 PB.

Helen Woodcock was flying the Strabane AC flag at the Manchester Half Marathon, smashing out a superb 2:02 run knocking a massive 13 minutes of her PB.

Laurence O'Neill showed fine form to finish second in the Moorlough 10 miler in what's proving to be a busy and successful season.

A club spokesperson said: "Fantastic running from everyone. We are delighted to see the hard work paying off and the numbers growing in the club weekly with new members always welcome."
