Strabane's Tom selected for Ulster U18 squad

FRESH from lifting the Ulster U16 Plate following their victory over Cavan, there was yet more good news for Strabane Rugby Club.

Their U16 captain, Tom McGilloway, has been selected to play for the Ulster Rugby U18s Club squad.

The team is set to play in the Inter-pro against Munster in Limerick on April 9.

A club spokesperson said: "Considering Tom is still playing U16 rugby, this is an unbelieveable achievement and is testament to all the hard work he has put in this last few years.

"Tom is a hooker of outstanding ability and potential and a fearsome ball carrier and is, most importantly, very coachable.

"This lad will go far."
