Ferry brace seals win for Strabane. thumbnail Strabane Athletic's Sean Ferry scored twice against Dungiven.

Sean Ferry netted twice for Strabane, his first goals since returning to the club, in what finished as an emphatic win over a deter mined Dungiven side.

A dour opening quarter saw little produced by either team until Athletic's Ruairi McElroy was forced to make a save from McCloskey.

In the 17th minute Conor Carlin's corner was turned in at the far post by Ferry who reacted quickest amid a group of bodies.

In the 25th minute Harte fired over and shortly afterwards Aodhan Doherty had a shot saved.

Just before the half time whistle Conor Carlin had the ball in the home net but it was disallowed.

Seán Ferry had a chance just after the restart but his shot went over the bar.

Strabane's second goal again came from a corner, Tom Carlin crossed for Gary Henderson to head unopposed into the top corner.

The visitors third and best, goal of the game came shortly after the hour mark, Conor Carlin with a superb strike from the edge of the box. Although the home netminder appeared to get a hand to the ball, it nestled in the top right hand corner.

With 15 minutes left Ferry scored his second and Strabane's fourth when he squeezed a low shot inside the keeper's left hand post.

Tom Carlin completed the scoring after being put in by Taylor who controlled a Conor Carlin pass - his brother eventually gliding the ball home.

Manager Eamon Curry was more pleased about Strabane's second half performance - a definite improvement from the first 45 and they were eventually deserving winners over a young, steadfast Dungiven side who, as usual, chased every ball and afforded their opponents as little room as possible.

SAFC: Ruari McElroy, Aodhan Doherty, Cal Ryan, Ritchie Graham, Gary Henderson (C), Christy Gallagher, Sean Ferry, Shane Brennan, Conor Carlin, Kyle Harte, Tom Carlin:
