Strabane Athletic...1
Magherafelt Sky Blues...2

Both teams went into the game unbeaten and it ended with the Blues coming out on top to extend their lead to five points.

The hosts were then hampered from the half hour mark they had a defender dismissed for a rash challenge and before half-time, the deadlock was broken when an intricate move saw a fine ball played into Emmet McGuckin who calmly rounded the keeper to put the visitors ahead.

The second half resumed and a more determined Strabane returned to the and began to play some quality passing football despite their numerical disadvantage.

Their pressure was rewarded with seven minutes to go when they were awarded a penalty, which skipper Gary Henderson duly dispatched to leave a tense last few minutes.

On the 90th minute though the Blues were awarded an indirect free kick almost on the end line after Strabane keeper handled a back-pass.

Magherfelt rolled the ball to Heavron who hit a crashing shot into the bottom of the net, prompting the visitors' bench to erupt in delight, and agony for the hosts.
