Share of the spoils for Dergview

DERGVIEW got their first point on the board in the Championship on Saturday with a 2-2 draw away to Larne at Inver Park on Saturday.

The Tyrone men though could have taken all three points home after coming from a goal behind to lead with just eight minutes remaining.

However, Daniel Reynolds headed in for Larne late on to claim a share of the spoils.

In the end up Dergview were left to rue a missed penalty from Ryan Campbell in the second half, but Richard Clarke's men made their way back to Darragh park with something to show for their troubles and a point on the board at least.

Reynolds' headed goal from a Tarek Arafa cross gave Larne the lead but aisde from that, neither team troubled the goal in the first half.

Dergview came out after nthe break on top as Adam Buchanan threatened for an equaliser with an effort from distance, and when Campbell was tripped up in the box by David Abe, the same player stepped up to level the scores from the spot.

However Campbell couldn't repeat the trick when Dergview were awarded another panelty soon after, thisd time dragging his shot wide.

They would take the lead though when Robbie Godfrey capitalised on a Abe back pass to McConnell to round the keeper and slot into the net.

Alas, Reynolds would have the last say for Larne as a quick throw-in caught out the Dergview defence and the ball inded up in the net.
