BREADY will go into this weekend's Senior Cup semi-final with Donemana full of confidence, after recording an emphatic win over Fox Lodge in the Premiership on Saturday.

It was the third time Davy Scanlon's men have won this season in the league. The hosts batted first with Andrew Austin and David Rankin producing a 69-run between them to give them a strong start.

Then Kyle Hamilton and Iroosh Samarasooriya formed a partnership worth 73. The Sri Lankan was run out for 26, as too was Ross Dougherty for 16 not long after, however Hamilton's 64 (1 four, 3 sixes) took Bready beyond 200.

Scanlon and Davy Allen (both 14 not out) added further to the scoreline with the final tally reaching 249-6.

The visitors started strongly with Dean McCarter (38) and Cebo Tshiki (28) combining well. However, David Rankin and Andy Lucas set about the Foxies' middle order. Rankin finished with 4-34 and Lucas 4-35 as Fox Lodge's innings closed on that 221- a 69-run deficit in the final reckoning.

Bready 249-6 (50.0 overs, K Hamilton 64, A Austin 61, D Rankin 26, J Milligan 2-52).

Fox Lodge 180 (45.3 overs, D McCarter 38, C Tshiki 28, D Rankin 4-34, A Lucas 4-35).

Bready will play Donemana in this weekend's Senior Cup semi-final while Fox Lodge take on Ballyspallen.
