Late goals sink Dergview
Thursday, 16 March 2017
DERGVIEW were only minutes away from claiming three away points on Saturday, until a late double from Ballyclare Comrades saw them come home from Dixon Park empty-handed.
Ballyclare Comrades...2
Dergview...1
Ryan Campbell had given the Dergview the lead in the 35th minute, and they carried that slender lead all the way up until the 86th minute when Comrades' Michael O'Hanlon equalised with a fine finish.
Minutes later, Dean Youle landed the sucker-punch as he headed in from a Samuel McIlveen corner to leave the Castlederg men feeling deflated at the final whistle.
The defeat saw fifth-placed Dergview lose ground on the tops above them in the table, and with promotion now more difficult, they must dust themselves down for key games against PSNI and Institute to keep their chances alive.
