Strabane Athletic bid for last eight spot

STRABANE Athletic return to action this weekend with an important Irish Junior Cup fourth round tie against St Mary's Portadown, with a place in the quarter finals up for grabs. Kick-off at the earlier time of 1.30pm.
The competition's official sponsor, Coca-Cola, has tagged the fixture as its 'Tie of the Round' and representatives from both the IFA and Coca Cola will be present.
“The club would like to see as much support as possible from the local community as it will hopefully give the players the added incentive to play to their full potential," said a club spokesperson.
Training is now back to normal at Holy Cross College on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The reserve team are not back in action until at least Saturday, January 14. Both management teams will be in contact with all players regarding training and fixtures.
In conjunction with Strabane Youth Association (SYA) and Strabane District Council, Strabane Athletic have organised Zumba classes for anyone interested. Classes will commence on Monday, January 9, from 8.30pm to 10pm and will last for eight weeks. A cover charge of £1 will be in place with all monies donated to the Joe McGarrigle 'Staying Alive Fund'. All interested should turn up on the night to take part.
