'Foxies' title hopes suffer a set-back

FOX Lodge's aspirations of lifting the North West Senior One trophy at the end of the season took a major knock on Sunday when they lost a quite unbelieveable match to Donemana, by eight runs, at the Holm.
The Ballymagorry men looked odds on to seal a straightforward two points when the hosts collapsed from 56 for two to 77 all out in just 24.1 overs with Gareth Heywood (four for 20) and professional Darryl Brown (four for 13) doing the damage.
However, Brian Allen's men contrived to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory when they slumped to 37 for eight before Andrew Britton rattled in a quickfire 30 to give them hope.
The former Donemana man's performance wasn't enough though as the 'Foxies' crashed to 69 all out in only 19.1 overs with Azhar Shaffique (four for 35) and James McBrine (four for 18) the destroyers in chief.
