Huge crowd enjoy thrilling 14-bout programme

THE huge crowd that descended on the Fir Trees Hotel, Strabane, on Thursday night, were entertained to 14 thrilling bouts during Lisnafin ABC's latest tournament.
Boxers from the host club enjoyed their contests against boxers from Buncrana, Omagh, Convoy, Eskra and Dunloe, which were excellently officiated over by referees, Peter Donnelly and Michael McDermott.
In attendance at the event, which featured boxers as young as 12 up to over 30 years of age, were Strabane's Caroline Connolly and Willie Mitchell, Dromore, who will compete in the Ulster Senior Championships in Belfast tomorrow (Friday).
