50,000 road improvement scheme for Strabane

Thursday, 2 August 2018

A MAJOR 50,000 resurfacing scheme is due to commence on the A5 Bradley Way on Monday, August 6.
The works, along a stretch of approximately 240 metres between Bradley Way Roundabout and Lifford Road Roundabout, will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the road.
To facilitate the work it will be necessary to implement overnight road closures between the hours of 7pm and 6am from Tuesday, August 7, until Thursday, August 9 and again from Tuesday, August 14, until Thursday, August 16. During these times a diversionary route shall operate via A5 Bradley Way, B72 Bridge Street, B72 Market Street, B72 Abercorn Square and B72 Railway Street and vice versa. Access for emergency services shall be accommodated throughout.
Whilst the Department for Infrastructure has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, motorists should expect delays and allow additional time when planning any journey.
Subject to favourable weather conditions the works is expected to be completed by Friday, August 17, however, the department will keep the public informed of any change.
