BREADY'S solid display against Ardmore at the Bleachgreen saw them move past their oppionents and into fifth spot in the SuperValu Premiership league table.

With the game reduced to 49 overs a side because of a delayed start, Bready racked up a total of 221 for 8. Andrew Austin led the way with 47 with Craig Young adding a vital 43 late on, while in between, Kyle Hamilton (30), David Rankin (25), Ross Dougherty (23) and Jamie Magee (22) all chipped in.

Rameez Alam (2-37) and Decker Curry (2-48) were best with the ball for the Ardmore who began their reply well but ultimately came up short.

Paul McDowell (39), Alam (33) and Kevin Martin (30) all combined to take Ardmore to 106 for 3, however Bready's bowlers, overseas man Irosh Samarasooriya (3-18) and skipper David Scanlon (2-15) in particular, took control of proceedings.

That defeat for Ardmore gave Fox Lodge a chance to move away from the seventh place play-off spot with a second win of the season at home to Drummond. Brian Allen's men did just that as they took care of the basement club by a whopping 250 runs.

Cebo Tshiki registered a 162 remarkablke as the home team racked up a huge 350 for 4, with the South African smashing 16 fours and 11 sixes. Dean McCarter (54), Luke Hayes (46) and skipper Allen (46) assited in setting up the total, from which there was never going to be a way back for Drummond.

Simon Dunn (3-69) was easily the pick of Drummond's bowling and although skipper Chris Moore (31) and fellow opener Andy Christie (27) offered some hope early on in the reply, a record-breaking win never seemed likely.

Jason Milligan (3-8) and Aaron Heywood (3-25) were soon among the wickets with teenager Adam Boyd needing just four deliveries of his first over to claim the last two wickets as Drummond slumped to 100 all out.
