Five-star Campbell keeps Dergview pushing for promotion

DERGVIEW cemented a top-six Championship finish thanks to a 8-0 drubbing of lowly Annagh United, with striker Ryan Campbell hitting the net five times.
The Castlederg side are now well positioned to challenge for promotion going into the final third of the league season, with a number of crunch games against the other top six sides in the coming weeks, beginning with Institute at Drumahoe this Saturday.
Dergview walloped Annagh 9-0 at home back in October, and they inflicted similar damage on the Portadown side on Saturday with Campbell's goal haul backed up by Nathan Cashel's brace and Richard Lecky.
Richard Clarke's side quickly got going with Campbell firing in from Aaron Walsh's cross before doubling the lead soon after, converting from Jude Ballard's ball. He would wrap up the hat-trick within the half, with Cashel also firing in his first to leave the score at 4-0 at the break.
After the restart, Campbell continued the goal spree from the penalty spot after Cashel had been taken down in the box, and substitute Lecky brought the score to 6-0 not long afterwards.
There was no let-up for Annagh as Lecky provided the cross for Cashel's second, before the former won another penalty kick in the box, and Campbell made no mistake to bring his personal tally to five and round off the scoring for the day.
