Strabane man jailed over Fir Trees Hotel robbery

A 40-year-old man who attempted to rob the Fir Trees Hotel in Strabane has been jailed for two years and three months.
John Owen Kelly from Upper Main Street, Strabane, appeared at Enniskillen Crown Court charged with attempting to rob cash from the Fir Trees Hotel in the town on July 23, 2007.
He was sentenced to two years and three months jail in Maghaberry prison, to be followed by a three-year probation order.
