Hannah Montana Forever: The Last Curtain Call

Tuesday, 30 November 2010

Now in her senior year at school, Miley Stewart is ready to go out with a bang in Hannah Montana Forever, the show's fourth and final series. Miley has managed to keep her pop star alter ego secret from everyone but her closest friends and family, all the while continuing her normal life as a quirky and funny schoolgirl.

Three successful series and a film have seen Miley Cyrus play the part of the girl leading an amazing double life that we can only dream of. After following Miley spend her days studying at school and cracking up her friends, her nights have been filled with playing sell-out concerts to screaming fans as Hannah Montana.

Fans have been able to follow all of Miley's adventures in her normal and celebrity lives on the Disney Channel, and this will be the first time a 'finale' episode will be aired by Disney. Before Miley says goodbye, however, there is still plenty to enjoy in the new series as well as all the accompanying Hannah Montana games.

As ever, Hannah can call on her best friends to help her through her senior year at school. Lilly is there as Miley's best friend and as part of Hannah Montana's entourage as Lola Luftnagle. The two best friends need their fans' help designing the wardrobe for Hannah and Lola as they take to the stage. Designer Dreams enables you to play Hannah Montana dress up and pick out styles, fabrics and colours to ensure the girls are looking amazing. Make sure to keep Lola as loud and fun as usual!

All good outfits need good make-up to complete the look and the new game, Beauty and the Beat, tests whether you can do everything from hair colour, blusher, lipstick and eye shadow, all against the clock. Once you've got Hannah and Lola looking how you want, you can ensure Miley has the best-looking bedroom to come home to after a concert by kitting it in Roomy Room Re-do. Ever wanted to be an interior designer? Well, the game allows you to pick out colours for the walls, bright colours for the floor and a variety of beds, furniture and lights to give Hannah the ultimate pop star retreat.

It's not all design though, and what would Hannah Montana be without Rico Suave trying to get money out of everybody? The entrepreneur manages his dad's surf shop and is always looking to line his pockets, even at the expense of others. Rico's Surf Shop Challenge offers the chance for him to be beaten at his own game, but only if you manage to make more money than he does.

The games are all there to fill the time left in between episodes of the series. but what can we expect from the final shows? The usual characters are all there as well as some special guest performances, including a duet by Hannah Montana and Sheryl Crow.

There is also a new sound to the show as Miley Cyrus' new single, Are You Ready?, becomes the theme tune for Hannah Montana Forever, but all the main characters are still up to their usual tricks.

Miley's dad Robby, played by Miley Cyrus' real-life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, is feeling too lonely for Miley's liking, and is set up on a date with a doctor by Miley in an attempt to find him love.

While he may no longer be Hannah's chauffeur, older brother Jackson is still there to support his little sister, despite their constant bickering and competition. Jackson continues to try and find ways of making his money in the fourth series. Having failed to inherit his dad's musical genes in the way that Miley has, it is left to him to plan how he will one day spend his dad's potential inheritance.

With her family looking after her, and the help and support of best friend Lilly, Miley has managed to lead her double life. Hannah Montana Forever will feature new songs and a Christmas special (the episode that Sheryl Crow appears in), as well as a whole heap of new and existing characters. Because everyone knows this will be the end of the Hannah Montana series, there is an opportunity to wrap things up rather than leaving fans in the dark.

Miley will have a lot to deal with in her last outing as Hannah Montana. There is a new album to think of, moving into a new home and the relationship between her, Lilly and their friend Oliver Oken.

The Locker Man, as he is known in school for managing to open classmate's lockers, is as loveable as ever. Resident DJ at school events, Oliver, played by Mitchel Musso, is the girls' best friend, but can often annoy Miley and Lilly with his flirtatious behaviour and catchphrase of "freaky freaky fresh". In most cases, it can lead to being hit by either Miley or Lilly, or even both at the same time. Having had a crush on Hannah Montana (until he realised her true identity as one of his friends), Oliver now dates Lilly. Miley seems to be very comfortable with Lilly and Oliver's relationship, but will that remain the same over the course of the final series?

Hannah Montana Forever will be fans last chance to see Miley performing as Hannah. The games and pictures that accompany the final series are a perfect way to get your Hannah Montana fix, and there are Hannah Montana wallpapers to complete the set.

Having been on our screens since 2006, it will be difficult to imagine a world without Hannah. Miley will still be around, but not as Hannah Montana, so be sure you tune into the Disney Channel to be a part of Hannah's final outing. There may not be an encore.
